When Bob Johnson of Gainesville Georgia decided, he wanted to build his 71 Cuda he knew Alan Johnson and the team at Johnson's Hot Rod Shop could handle building this project. His main objective was to build the “Worlds Greatest Street Machine of all time.” What started with a Chris Ito rendering to fifteen thousand labor hours later, the G-Force Cuda debuted at the 2005 SEMA Show in PRIMEDIA’s booth as their primary display vehicle. The G-Force Cuda drew so much attention clogging the main traffic around its booth and was the talk all over SEMA. Once the car was unveiled, it went on to win Daimler Chrysler Design Excellence Award, one of the top winners for Mothers Polish Shine awards, and went on to be a finalist for the third annual US Sony’s Play Station Gran Turismo “Best Hot Rod” award. What a huge accomplishment for the first four days out for Bob Johnson, Chris Ito, Alan Johnson and his team at Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop. The G-Force Cuda mixes world-class Street Rod craftsmanship with super car engineering. From the highly detailed high horsepower 572 ci all aluminum HEMI engine built by Indy Cylinder Head, to the complete front end build from carbon fiber with hundreds of body modifications. This is truly Johnson’s own interpretation of a G-Machine 71 Cuda. The team at Johnson's Hot Rod Shop found countless ways to use old ideas with a modern twist to bring this 71 Cuda into the 21st Century. For example, custom made Colorado Custom 19” and 20” true knock-off wheels mated to 15” titanium rotors utilizing 6-piston calipers. The G-Force Cuda has retained its history with twin headlights, shark-tooth grille, and billboard HEMI graphics. The Cuda has awed the masses who witness its presence. The G-Force Cuda named the 2006 Goodguy’s Street Machine of the Year as well as Shades of the Past of the Car of the Year post 1949 awards. Chip Foose knows quality engineering and craftsmanship when he sees it as he picked the Cuda for Year One Braselton Bash event. The Media attention has been overwhelming from magazines to websites. Besides all of the awards, won with the 71 Cuda this year the car has been on the track and has proven itself among all its peers. Track time includes; drag race time in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee at the MuscleRides.com Run Through The Hills to auto cross in Nashville, Tennessee at the Goodguys’ 1st Nashville Nationals and finally as one of the fastest participants at the Air Ride Street Challenge road course and auto cross, tested by championship racer Scott Pruitt of the Rolex Series Daytona Series Prototype for CompUSA Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates race team. The G-Force Cuda has also proven its reliability on the street of the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour. Johnson’s Hot Rod Shop has achieved success on all levels with this 71’ Cuda and has definitely made their mark with this true one of a kind street machine as being hailed as the “Best of all Time” as quoted by Barrett Jackson’s own Craig Jackson. One of the latest accomplishments for Alan Johnson and Johnson's Hot Rod Shop is to collaborate with Hot Wheels / Mattel to unveil at the 2006 SEMA Show a new die cast toy version of the G-force Cuda for future sale to the public.
